With a series of digital shows, the production house – Applause Entertainment is back in the news in the media and this time for their next venture called Iftikhar. The film is based on the story of Major Mohit Sharma, who happens to be a Para Special Forces Officer. This man is known for dealing with the infiltrated Hizbul Mujahideen under his name called Iftikhar Bhatt. For this the officer was even awarded with the Ashok Chakra in the year 2009 for his courageous feat. The film happens to be an adaptation of the first chapter playing the role called Shiv Aroor.
He was even covered in the book of India’s Most Fearless 2: More Military Stories of Unimaginable Courage and Sacrifice. Applause Entertainment has joined hands with Drishyam Films and as per the makers the film will hit the floor in September this year. Talking about the makers, Sameer Nair the CEO of the production house – Applause Entertainment was amazed to go through the brave story of Major Mohit Sharma and he decided to bring his story alive.Â
