Aditi Pohankar is an actress who is active in Hindi and Regional films. She hails from Mumbai and her father is a former marathon runner and her mother is also a former national level hockey player. Her grandparents belonged to classical music. She did her schooling and college from Mumbai and once she completed her education she headed to become an actress. Talking about her career, she started working in plays with Satyadev Dubey in 2010. She was the part of many stage plays in Mumbai and other places.Â
The very same year, she got her first break in Bollywood with the film Love Sex Aur Dhokha. She then got the chance to be the part of a small budget Marathi movie called Kunasathi Kunitari in 2011 with actors Ashok Saraf, Poonam Dhillon and Smita Jaykar. She got the chance to be the part of a Malayalam film, which is directed by M. S. Anil and then she moved to Kerala to learn the south Indian language and soon got engaged in South Indian films.Â
Some of her other films include the Marathi Movies – Kunasathi Kunitari and Lai Bhaari. She was then seen in the Tamil films including Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum and Mannavan Vanthanadi. In the year 2020, she got the chance to enter into the digital media called She and Aashram. She played Bhumi in the film She aired on Netflix, while in Aashram played the role called Pammi ready to be aired on MX Player.
