Ahan Shetty and Pooja Hegde’s ‘Sanki’ is an Original Love Story Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Not a Remake
Renowned Indian producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently made an exciting announcement about his upcoming feature film, starring Ahan Shetty and Pooja Hegde. Nadiadwala confirmed that the film, directed by Adnan Shaikh and Yasir Jah, has been titled Sanki. While speculations suggest that Sanki is a remake of the Tamil film Adanga Maru, featuring Jayam Ravi, we have exclusive information that it is, in fact, an original love story penned by the maverick producer himself.
According to insider sources, Sajid Nadiadwala had initially planned to make Adanga Maru with Varun Dhawan, directed by Anurag Singh. However, due to the changing landscape in the post-pandemic world, Dhawan opted to step away from the remake. Recognizing the tremendous potential of Adanga Maru in the Hindi film industry, Nadiadwala intends to revisit the subject in 2025 with a fresh cast. This script holds a special place in his heart, and he is determined to create a cinematic experience that will captivate audiences on the big screen.
While the previous version of Sanki, titled Adanga Maru, was associated with Varun Dhawan, the source further clarified that the new Sanki has no connection to Nadiadwala’s pre-pandemic project. Currently, preparations are underway, and Sajid Nadiadwala is committed to commencing production in June 2024. The filming process is expected to be completed within two months, with Nadiadwala aiming for a Valentine’s Day 2025 release. Ahan Shetty is currently undergoing training to portray the complex character of a Sanki in this action-packed film.
Fans eagerly anticipate the release of Sanki, as Sajid Nadiadwala continues to innovate and deliver entertaining experiences on the silver screen. The process of casting other actors for Sanki is currently in progress. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us and if you have anything to share, you can comment below.
