Just a day after Bollywood Hungama exclusively reported that the mahurat shot of Singham Again would be held at YRF Studios in suburban Mumbai on September 16, the makers of the film have shared photos from the launch. The photos show filmmaker Rohit Shetty, actors Ajay Devgn, and Ranveer Singh posing together on set. Going by the photos, it seems that along with Ajay Devgn, this new film in the cop universe and Singham franchise is also expected to feature Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi in a pivotal role.
This is exciting news for fans of the cop universe films, and it will be interesting to see how Rohit Shetty brings all three characters together in Singham Again. The film is expected to be released in 2024. Devgn, who will play the lead role in the action film, said in his post, “12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again!”
Shetty, who is marking his third collaboration with Devgn in the Singham franchise, added in his post, “Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi… 12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham Again… the 5th film in our cop franchisee. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI! (We will put our heart and soul into it. We just need your blessings.)”
