Animal Box Office: Ranbir Kapoor’s Day 1 Advance Booking at 155K Marks 94% Decrease Compared to Brahmastra
Ranbir Kapoor is poised to unleash his box office dominance with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The film’s advance bookings have been surging, rivaling those of the highly anticipated Tiger 3. With just 2.5 days left until its release, Animal is expected to continue its upward trajectory. Currently, the registered number of advance bookings for day one stands at an impressive 155,000 tickets.
Securing 1.55 lakhs of tickets in advance bookings, Ranbir Kapoor has firmly established himself among the top 10 performers in day one advance bookings. The gangster drama has surpassed the record set by Ranveer Singh’s This Is 83, which currently holds the ninth position with 117,000 tickets. Interestingly, Animal’s meteoric rise has even displaced RRR (Hindi) from the top 10 list.
Despite the impressive advance bookings for Animal, the film still lags behind Ranbir Kapoor’s own Brahmastra in terms of pre-release ticket sales. With just 2.5 days to go before its release, Animal has garnered an advance booking of 155,000 tickets, significantly lower than Brahmastra’s 302,000 tickets. This translates to a 94% deficit for Animal, which currently occupies the fifth position on the list of day one advance bookings.
With the highly anticipated release of Animal approaching, trade expert Nishit Shaw has compiled a list of the top 10 advance bookings for Day 1 in the post-pandemic era. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan lead the pack, securing a staggering 557,000 and 556,000 tickets respectively.
Jawan – 557,000
Pathaan – 556,000
KGF 2 (Hindi) – 515,000
Tiger 3 – 308,000
Brahmastra – 302,000
Adipurush (Hindi) – 285,000
Gadar 2 – 274,000
Animal – 155,000
This Is 83 – 117,000
Drishyam 2 – 116,000
It remains to be seen if Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal can bridge the gap and make a significant leap in advance bookings before its release on December 1. The film will face stiff competition from Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur, which is also set to hit theaters on the same day.
Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, stars an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna, with Ranbir Kapoor in a gritty, never-before-seen avatar. Set in the volatile world of Reddy Vanga, who also directed the blockbusters Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, Animal promises to be an intense, action-packed gangster drama.
