The year 2020 has seen a number of releases in B Town on different OTT platforms. We recently saw the film Laxmii releasing on Disney Plus and Hotstar which did a good business at the OTT platform. At the same time the film witnessed a backlash for the film for the reason that it has hurt the religious sentiments that compelled the makers to change the title of the film from Laxmii Bomb to Laxmii. Now, we have the update that the makers of the film Bell Bottom starring Akshay Kumar will get an OTT release.
Yes, you heard it right, as per reports the makers are in talks with steaming platform Amazon Prime to get a direct premier of the film. The film starring ensemble star cast with actors like Huma Qureshi, and Bhumi Pednekar apart from Akshay Kumar. The film is produced by the son and father duo -Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani are in talks with Amazon Prime to check how the digital release is going to work. As per the Bollywood portal Bollywood Hungama, the makers are in discussion with the Amazon guys now.
Also, the Bhagnani’s share a good rapport with the digital platform and similar is the story with Akshay. Now, a majority of stakeholders are also in favor of releasing the film on an OTT platform with intact terms and conditions, which are very much beneficial to all.
