Abhishek Bachchan has completed shooting for the much-anticipated thriller entertainer Bob Biswas. The team completed shooting of the film in Kolkata on Wednesday night, produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
‘Bob Biswas’ is directed by Dia Annapurna Ghosh, daughter of filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh. Red Chillies Entertainment posted on Twitter, “This is a very special film shoot completed! Soon you will see Bob Biswas. “
‘Bob Biswas’ is taken from a fictional character from the film Kahani (2012), who was a poker contract killer. This is the first ever character-based spin-off. The film, starring Abhishek, hit the floors in early 2020 but was pushed forward due to an epidemic.
The team resumed shooting in Kolkata on 23 November. Many action sequences were shot during this final schedule. Since the shoot was done at live venues in Kolkata, the team made sure to follow social distance norms.
Chitrangada Singh also has an important role in Bob Biswas. The film is produced by Gauri Khan, Sujoy Ghosh and Gaurav Verma and is scheduled to be released on screen in mid-2021.
