Box Office Triumph: Kartik Aaryan’s “Satyaprem Ki Katha” Secures 58,000 Advance Bookings, Outshines Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, & Salman Khan
The film has sold approximately 58,000 tickets across national chains, with PVR leading the way with 29,000 tickets, followed by Inox with 17,000 tickets, and Cinepolis with 11,000 tickets. Initial expectations were that Satyaprem Ki Katha would sell around 40,000 tickets across national chains, but the film has exceeded those expectations by a significant margin. In fact, its advance booking is better than Salman Khan’s Eid 2023 release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and is almost on par with Hrithik Roshan’s Gandhi Jayanti release, Vikram Vedha, and Aamir Khan’s Independence Day release, Laal Singh Chaddha.
We can see the film – Satyaprem Ki Katha has also surpassed the overall advance of several other big-ticket films, including Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu, Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa, Thank God, Prithviraj, Selfiee, Bachchhan Paandey, and Runway 34. These films had an advance booking of between 30,000 and 50,000 tickets across national chains. As per its current advance booking, Satyaprem Ki Katha is now looking at a first-day opening of ₹10 crore.
Here are some of the factors that are contributing to the strong advance booking for Satyaprem Ki Katha:
The film has an interesting star cast with the two of the most popular young actors in India, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. The film has a competent filmmaker as it is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who has a good track record with romantic comedies. We have seen the film’s trailer and songs getting well-received by audiences. The film hits on the eve of holiday, which is on the festival called Bakri Eid. Thus it is expected to give it a boost at the box office.
Overall, the advance booking trends for Satyaprem Ki Katha are very encouraging and suggest that it could be a successful film at the box office.
