Breaking News: Special Screening Tickets for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s 25th Anniversary Sold Out in Less Than 25 Minutes at Rs. 25 Each

One of the greatest films in Indian cinema, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, was released on October 16, 1998, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. As expected, excitement for the anniversary is palpable, and Dharma Productions, the producers of the film, have decided to celebrate in a grand fashion. A few hours ago, the production house announced on its social media handles that a special screening of the film will be held on Sunday, October 15. Bookings opened soon after, and the shows sold out in no time.

Tickets were priced at just Rs. 25, possibly to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary. Incredibly, the tickets for both the 7:00 pm and 7:15 pm shows of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai at PVR Icon Versova, Mumbai sold out in less than 25 minutes.

As per Bollywood Hungama, “The low price point of Rs. 25 must have played a role in the sellout. It’s incredible for moviegoers to be able to see the film in a swanky multiplex for so little. Moreover, the film has a timeless charm. Many moviegoers were either too young or not even born when it was released in 1998, so they either don’t vividly remember or have never seen it on the big screen. And of course, the star power of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji, as well as the association of director Karan Johar, all of whom are still going strong today, must have also been a reason why the shows sold out so quickly.

The source continued, No one expected such a reception to the re-release of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. There was no prior intimation, and the booking began all of a sudden, yet the response was incredible. According to another source, another show of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai will be added at the same theater, PVR Icon Versova. It remains to be seen if more shows of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai will be added at other PVR theaters in Mumbai and other cities.
