A big news coming out from the single judge bench in the Supreme Court as the court finally gave its verdict on the pending issues. It was Rhea Chakraborty who has filed a petition in the Supreme Court asking the court to transfer the case from Patna to Mumbai. The verdict addressed various issues involved in the case starting from handling the case by the CBI. Hence it has asked the Mumbai Police to hand over the evidence and the case to the CBI.
While touching the issue of FIR made in Patna by the late actor’s father, the court said it is right to register the FIR in Patna, however, the case will be dealt only from Mumbai as it falls in the jurisdiction of the incident happening at this place. Thus the case will be transferred to Mumbai, while it will be investigated by the CBI, informed the court. Talking about Mumbai Police investigation the court said that the Police is yet to register any FIR in the jurisdiction as it has registered a suicide case from day one.
This has led the Mumbai Police to confine the scope of the case. Now, with CBI taking up the case, it will be dealt with in a wider perspective. The CBI is going to check the various aspects of the case, which has now turned into a complex one. The late actor’s family members have been pressing hard to the CM and Bihar Police to carry out the CBI Investigation.
