Day 8 Box Office Collection of OMG 2: Akshay Kumar Starrer Rakes in ₹90.6 Crore, Nearing ₹100 Crore Milestone
Akshay Kumar’s film Oh My God 2 (also known as OMG 2) grossed Rs 5.6 crore nett in India on Friday, according to early estimates. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film has so far earned around Rs 90.65 crore nett at the domestic box office. In its opening week, the film had earned Rs 85.05 crore.
Oh My God 2 saw a slight increase in its box office collection on Friday, earning Rs 5.6 crore nett in India, after earning Rs 5.58 crore nett on Thursday. The film is expected to see a significant jump on Saturday, with estimates predicting a collection of around Rs 8 crore. This would take the film’s total earnings to Rs 98.65 crore in nine days. OMG 2 was released on August 11, alongside Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, which has been performing very well at the box office.
The Hindi version of Oh My God 2 had an overall occupancy of 24.53% on Friday. The film opened at Rs 10.26 crore nett in India, and saw a growth of 49.12% on day 2, earning Rs 15.3 crore. On day 3, the film’s collection grew by another 14.71%, to Rs 17.55 crore nett. However, the film’s collection saw a decline on day 4, to Rs 12.06 crore. On day 5, the film’s collection picked up again, to Rs 17.1 crore, but it fell again on day 6, to Rs 7.2 crore, which is the lowest collection of the film so far.
Oh My God 2 also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles. Directed by Amit Rai, the film follows the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi), a Shiva devotee who sues the educational system for misleading his child. Akshay Kumar plays the messenger of Lord Shiva, while Yami Gautam plays an attorney.
