There were reports on Salman Khan that he has sold his next film Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai. He was seen doing a deal with Zee Studios by selling off his film at a whopping amount of 230 Crores. Soon the news spread all across the market like a wildfire keeping everyone astonished as to why the superstar had to sell his film to Zee Studios despite the fact that he had his pact with Yash Raj Films for the theatrical release and for Amazon Prime for the digital rights.
As per reports, it was Amazon Prime who was supposed to get the digital rights and not Zee Studios and all of the sudden we see this development taking place in the industry from Salman Khan. The music rights were given to T-Series and Zee has got the satellite rights. The portal Bollywood Hungama had given the exact reason for the same. As per reports, YRF had gone for an agreement with Salman Khan to distribute the film all across the world on commission basis. This meant that Salman Khan’s earnings would increase as per the business via screens.
This option had the element of uncertainty especially when there is a Covid-19 pandemic situation, which can hamper the footfalls and thereby get lower returns from cinema halls. Amazon had given the deal of eight weeks to Salman for OTT premier. According to Salman it was not proving a better deal as the tasks were distributed to many smaller groups leading to complications when he got a big deal cracked with a whopping amount of Zee. Thus with all the pros with Zee and less of cons, the superstar was quick to add the things.
