The Bandra based Magistrate court has directed the Mumbai Police to register an FIR against B Town actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister cum manager Rangoli Chandel this Saturday for carrying out a probe against the duo for their communal tweets. The court said that their tweets have wreaked havoc on social media by creating communal tension via tweets and interviews. As per Times of India reports, the court have asked the police to book the ladies under the IPC 124A (sedition), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) along with 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting their religion or religious beliefs).
Once the probe is done, the Mumbai Police will be submitting their reports before the court. The court has taken action against the two ladies with the complaint filed by Sahil Ahshraflali Sayed who happens to be a feature film casting director. He has lodged a private complaint in the said magistrate court. While hearing his plea, the court has directed the Mumbai police to submit a detailed report. The plea talked about the two tweets carried out by the two sisters, which alleged the ladies to divide the artists in the name of religion.
The metropolitan magistrate Jaydeo Y Ghule was quick to act and said he found the offence cognizable and thus found it culpable. He said since the two ladies used the microblogging site called Twitter, hence they can be booked on the said acts of the IPC. Sayyed also said in his complaint that since the past few months Kangana has been defaming the industry with allegations like drug addiction, nepotism and favoritism. We know how Kangi has called Mumbai as the PoK that created another row in the social media.
