Kangana Ranaut Next film ‘Legend of Didda’ indulges in a copyright battle

We have been seeing the copyright laws to be the one that protects both the original work along with the derivative work as well. The example could be a book being converted into a film, a theatre play into a film and a poem turned into a song and likewise. These laws protect the two as per the efforts of the authors. Copyright issues have often been part of Bollywood films, we hear many filmmakers suffering from the copyright charges. The same goes in the story of Kangana Ranaut upcoming movie the Legend of DIdda made under the Manikarnika franchise. 

Now, we see the war of words between the actress Kangana who announced the second instalment of the Manikarnika franchise next film to be made with the title “Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda”. But as she announced the author of the Didda’s biography called Ashish Kaul who was seen accusing the copyright violation. He alleged that the lady had violated the law with this film, while Kangana was too harsh to slam the writer. He categorically said what Kangana is doing is an absolute violation of Indian Privacy laws along with the copyright laws of the country which Kangana also swears by.

On the other side, Manikarnika returns with the next title, which deals with a warrior queen of Kashmir. The lady stood high with her second installment and moved around the story of Didda who fought despite all odds defeating Mehmood Ghaznavi on the battlefield. The author claimed that when he asked the actress and Kamal Jain the producer, both denied the fact that they have been using any content from his book. But when he realized that they are doing it he raised his voice.
