We have been hearing a lot about the film for the past few months. But as per the latest buzz, the makers now have sold out this film to the popular Indian OTT platform – ZEE5. Thanks to the changing time, releasing a film has now got a new address – OTT platform. Even big time movies like Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Bhuj: The Pride of India starring Ajay Devgn are also released over OTT platform. These films could have fired the box office but with OTT, they are seen bowing down to the situation.
Since the past few months, things have changed in a big way. All thanks to the COVID 19 virus getting violent in the cities and towns. Now, as per the recent buzz, the makers of the film Khaali Peeli have sold out their venture to the OTT platform ZEE5 along with the star cast and the filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar. The film was Ali’s maiden production venture but with the current tough situation, it was wise for him to sell off this venture to Zee gruop. Earlier, there were speculations that suggested that he is in talks with Netflix but now reports came out stating that the filmmaker has gone to ZEE5 for selling off the digital rights.
Both Netflix and ZEE5 were keen on getting the film but it seems that the deal has cracked by the latter one. Zee Studios will be producing the film. Also, the nepotism debate seemed to have made him decide on these lines as both the stars in his film happen to be the star kids. The film happens to be a quintessential commercial entertainer having loads of songs, action and dance. The film seems to be a good offer to ZEE5 and for Ali as well.
