Laal Singh Chaddha directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios. The film stars Aamir Khan in the titular role with Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Mona Singh and South Indian actor-director Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles. The film is an official adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.
The film was initially scheduled to release on Christmas 2020 but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now release on 11 August 2022.
On the first day of its release, the film is expected to gross a total of ₹30 crore (US$4.2 million) at the box office.
The film has been made on a budget of ₹180 crore and is one of the expensive films made in Bollywood. The film’s marketing and promotional campaign has already started and is in full swing. Aamir Khan has already started promoting the film on various platforms and is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that the film has a massive opening at the box office.
