The filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has been finally reached the Versova Police Station in connection with the rape allegation by the actress Payal Ghose. The 30 year old female actress seemed to have gone too far in alleging the filmmaker first by saying that he molested her and then by claiming the director has raped the lady. As per earlier reports, the police officer at Versova Police Station has confirmed sending summons to the filmmaker and he even has confirmed about his presence very soon.Â
The Mumbai Police was seen registering the FIR on 22nd September once the actress with her lawyer visited the police station. In the complaint, she said that the filmmaker had raped the lady in 2013, while Anurag Kashyap has denied the charges calling them baseless. In a series of tweets, he denied all the charges against himself calling them malicious and baseless. The filmmaker was seen calling the actress at his residence based at Yari informed the actress.Â
She further informed the police that the director then pushed her on his sofa and put his hand over her mouth and then seually assaulted her. Since his hand was on her mouth, she was not able to shout. The filmmaker has been hurled with charges against various sections of the IPC including 376, 354, 341 and 342 all the sections dealing with women. The actress also met the Governor demanding Y Plus security as she fears for her life. Also, Mr. Ramdas Athawale the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale demanded the arrest of the filmmaker.
