Salaar 2 Targets December 2025 Release: Filming Kicks Off with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in May
The highly anticipated sequel to “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” is gearing up for production. Released in December 2023, the film marked the first collaboration between Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. From the start, it was intended as the first installment of a larger story. The title for the sequel, “Salaar Part 2: Shauryanga Parvam,” was confirmed even before the release of the first film. Set in the perilous city of Khansaar, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” explored themes of friendship amidst a backdrop of violence. According to a report from Pinkvilla, the past three months have been dedicated to refining the script based on feedback from the first part. Filming is set to commence in Hyderabad, with a 10-day schedule featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
A source close to the production shared, “Over the last three months, Prashanth and his team of writers have enhanced the script of ‘Salaar 2’ based on feedback from the first part, and they are now ready to begin filming by the end of May. Prabhas and Prithviraj will join in for a 10-day schedule in Hyderabad.” The source also mentioned that a significant portion of the film will be shot this year, with the remaining scenes scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2025. Filming locations include Hyderabad and the outskirts of Bangalore. The source added, “Prashanth Neel will be shooting the film in Hyderabad and the outskirts of Bangalore. While ‘Salaar’ set up the conflict, the real story begins in ‘Salaar 2’ with the fight between Prabhas and Prithviraj. The sequel will also provide further clarity on the political landscape and character dynamics, featuring intense confrontations and action.”
While “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” introduced the central conflict, “Salaar 2: Shauryanga Parvam” is expected to delve deeper into the battle between Prabhas and Prithviraj’s characters. The sequel will offer a clearer understanding of the political landscape and character relationships, emphasizing high-stakes confrontations and action sequences. Hombale Films is aiming for a December 2025 release for “Salaar 2: Shauryanga Parvam,” coinciding with the second anniversary of the first film. In addition to the core cast, the sequel will introduce new actors from various film industries.
