As Shahid Kapoor wrapped up the shoot for his next film Jersey, which is also a remake of a Telugu film having the same title, we now hear the actor declaring the release date of the film. As per the actor’s Instagram handle, the film is going to release on 5th November and the makers are going to have Shahid playing the cricket with the release date on Sunday on Instagram post. As per the actor, the film will release on the said date and it will celebrate the victory of the human spirit, the actor.
As per the actor, he is excited to see his film releasing after two years. The last time we saw him was in the film – Kabir Singh which was also the Hindi remake of a Telugu movie. Now, talking about Jersey, it is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who has also directed the original film in Telugu, while it will be produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju and S Naga Vamsi. The film also has Mrunal Thakur in the leading lady’s role playing the wife of Shahid Kapoor in it, while his father’s role is done by Pankaj Kapoor only.
