Just when we see Aditya Chopra the owner of Yash Raj Films busy planning for the celebration of his production company – YRF 50, we now hear he intends to have an OTT platform for his company. Yes, you heard it right, Aditya Chopra will add one more feather for its company by bringing out their OTT platform as well. Yash Raj Films, which is regarded as a big brand in Bollywood is all about to complete its 50 years in the industry. They have big plans to celebrate it.Â
The banner has launched many actors in the industry and have made many films with top stars like Salman Khan, SRK, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh to name a few. They are also planning to have a film festival under their banner all across the globe wherein they would be screening some cult classics from different film industries. However, as per the popular entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, Aditya Chopra is planning to launch it’s own OTT platform.
As we know, all the rights to release their films are with Amazon, but with their plans to come out with their own OTT platform, they are going to have to rework their terms and conditions with the streaming giant to use their own digital platform. It will act as a library for different Yash Raj Films as they will now get their OTT platform soon. Also, there are reports that they are planning to have their own acting school as well. So apart from the biggest production banner, they now want to expand in different directions.Â
