Is Shahid Kapoor’s 100 CR Netflix Deal a Hoax? Check Details
Just when we heard about the 100 Crore deal of Shahid Kapoor with the streaming giant Netflix, we now hear it appears to be a hoax. Yes, you are right, it was a report that went sensation on the social media after one of the sensation-mongering portals claimed about the same that Shahid Kapoor has signed the whopping INR 100-crore deal with the streaming giant. It also claimed that he would be doing multiple films and series with Netflix.
However, as per the recent reports of Bollywood Hungama, they have confirmed from two sources close to Netflix who denied about this news calling it a complete hoax. As per the same reports, the streaming giant has not signed any deal with Shahid Kapoor. The sources further claimed that cracking a 100 Crore deal can only work with top ranking actors in Bollywood. Since Shahid does not belong to the league of SRK-Akshay, Aamir and Salman, giving him such a whopping 100 Cr deal is not possible.
Another source from Netflix claimed that their streaming platform wants to break the B Town star system. It further said that Netflix believes that the real star is the director who brings out the best from the stars irrespective of their aura and size. It also said that they have added four new directors this year. On the other side, we have seen Amazon Prime Video signing some A lister B Town actors for their multiple film deals. These include Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.
