AK Vs AK Controversy: IAF objects to Netflix film scenes, asks makers to withdraw
It seems that the newly released trailer on the mockumentary called AK Vs AK is gaining news for all wrong reasons. The film to be released on the streaming giant – Netflix has come in bad books. All thanks to an objectionable scene in the film that was pinpointed by the Indian Air Force. The Air Force now demands the streaming giant to delete those scenes from the movie this Wednesday where one can see Anil Kapoor abusing language while being in the uniform.
AK Vs AK happens to be a documentary film which has Anil Kapoor in an IAF Officer role, while Anurag Kashyap is seen playing another role in it. The controversy broke up when the veteran actor Anil Kapoor shared the trailer on social media. Soon the tweet came from the Indian Air Force asking the streaming media to do the needful as they found the scene to be objectionable. How about checking the same as under:
The IAF uniform in this video is inaccurately donned & the language used is inappropriate. This does not conform to the behavioural norms of those in the Armed Forces of India. The related scenes need to be withdrawn.@NetflixIndia @anuragkashyap72#AkvsAk https://t.co/F6PoyFtbuB

Netflix has been facing similar objections for other web series as well. These include the one called A Suitable Boy where the kissing scene of a lady in the premises of a temple was made an issue by some fringe elements. FIR was lodged against the streaming giant by booking the content head of the company. Now, we see how things are moving in a different direction. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
