Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk to Star in Karan Johar’s New Romantic Comedy

Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced his next project, a heartwarming comedy starring Vicky Kaushal. Johar took to Instagram to make the announcement, writing that the film is “exceptionally close to my heart for various reasons.” He also expressed his admiration for the film’s producer, Amritpal Singh Bindra, calling him “a force of content and talent” and “a company of warmth and creativity.”

The film, which is currently untitled, is slated to release in February 2024. It will be Johar’s first film with Kaushal, who has become one of Bollywood’s most popular actors in recent years. The film will also star Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk. Johar is known for his romantic comedies, such as “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” and “My Name Is Khan.” However, he has also branched out into other genres, such as drama (“Kapoor & Sons”) and thriller (“Raazi”). The upcoming film is said to be a departure from Johar’s usual fare, with a focus on humor and heart.

The film is being produced by Bindra’s Leo Media Collective and Dharma Productions. It will be released by Amazon Prime Video in India and select international markets. Filmmaker Karan Johar recently took to Instagram to share his excitement about his upcoming film with Vicky Kaushal, Anand Tiwari, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk. In his post, Johar praised the film’s producer, Amritpal Singh Bindra, for creating a company that “puts goodwill over any commerciality.” He also expressed his admiration for the film’s director, Anand Tiwari, calling him “the funniest guy in town with a golden heart.”
