Tejas Trailer Impact on Box Office Day 1: Kangana Ranaut Set to Break Her Streak of Dismal Bollywood Openings!
The makers of Tejas, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead, recently released the official trailer of the highly anticipated film. The trailer, released on Indian Air Force Day 2023, offers a glimpse into the film, which not only evokes patriotic sentiments but also showcases the indomitable spirit of India. Backed by RSVP, the film is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara. Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Chandramukhi 2, which received a mixed response at the box office.
Kangana Ranaut, who often finds herself in hot water for her outspokenness, has yet to deliver a successful film since Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. In addition to the Sarvesh Mewara-directed Tejas, she also has Emergency in her pipeline.
After three years in the making, fans have high expectations for Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, Tejas. The film has generated a lot of buzz, but it remains to be seen whether it will be a box office success, with only three weeks to go before its release. Tejas is expected to open at 4-7 crore on Day 1, which would be higher than Ranaut’s last few films.
Kangana Ranaut’s last few films have not performed well at the box office, with Judgementall Hai Kya opening at Rs 5.40 crore, Panga earning Rs 2.70 crore on Day 1, and Thalavii and Dhaakad minting just Rs 0.25 crore and Rs 0.65 crore, respectively. Her last film, Chandramukhi 2, did reasonably well at the ticket window.
In a previous interview, Kangana Ranaut said that Tejas explores the emotional journey of a soldier stationed at the border, delving into the psychology of an Indian soldier and the impact of discussions on their morale. Coming back, we shall wait for October 27 to see the opening numbers of Tejas and witness if Kangana will finally break the streak of average openings or not.
