Synopsis: The popular OTT platforms ALTBalaji and ZEE5 are back in the news as they tie up together to embark on a web series called The Married Woman. The series is based on a novel with the same title by author Manju Kapur. The web series has Sahir Raza as its director, while he also remains one of the producers with Ekta Kapoor under the banner Balaji Telefilms. The show has an interesting star cast with actors like Ridhi Dogra, Monica Dogra, Samridhi Dewan, Nabeel Ahmed, and David Browne in the leading roles, while others include Aparna Nadig, Jaya Misra, and Surabhi Saral in the leading roles.
Talking about the story, it revolves around the ladies who are looking to get empowered with their liberty. It moves around a middle-class Delhi-based girl called Aastha who happens to be a middle-class Delhi girl and by profession is a painter. She is also a daughter, wife, and mother, and what goes when she opts out to move on the conventional roads. The makers have released the trailer, which seemed to have created a good buzz around the show.
