Fighter Box Office Collection: Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan’s Action Film Surpasses ₹150 Crore Mark in India on Day 9

On its ninth day at the box office, “Fighter,” featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor and directed by Siddharth Anand, has garnered attention. Released on January 25, this marks the first collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan. Despite opening at ₹22.5 crore, the film has experienced a decline in domestic box office numbers. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, on its second Friday, “Fighter” saw a further decrease, earning an estimated ₹5.35 crore nett in India. The film’s total collection in India currently stands at approximately ₹151.85 crore nett. Notably, “Fighter” achieved its highest day-wise collection on its first Friday, raking in ₹39.5 crore nett.

Subsequently, the film earned ₹27.5 crore nett on Saturday, ₹29 crore nett on Sunday, ₹8 crore nett on Monday, ₹7.5 crore nett on Tuesday, ₹6.5 crore nett on Wednesday, and ₹6 crore nett on Thursday. “Fighter” has recently crossed the ₹250 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office, indicating a commendable performance on the global stage.

The film narrates the tale of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone), and Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh (Anil Kapoor), alongside other members of the elite IAF unit, Air Dragons.

According to the official synopsis, the Srinagar Valley is in the grip of escalating militant activities, prompting the commissioning of the new and elite unit, Air Dragons, by the Air Headquarters. Tasked with being the first responders to any hostile activity, the unit comprises the finest combat aviators selected from across the IAF. “Fighter” delves into the story of the Air Dragons, who display unwavering commitment to their nation while navigating the highs and lows of their internal and external battles.

In addition to the main cast, “Fighter” also features Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi. Notably, this marks Deepika Padukone’s third collaboration with Siddharth Anand, following 2008’s “Bachna Ae Haseeno” and the 2023 blockbuster “Pathaan,” alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Furthermore, Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand have previously collaborated on projects such as “Bang Bang” (2014) and the 2019 action film “War.”
